Why it lands on your desk.
A blocked gutter shows up as a damp patch on a bedroom wall in [February], and by then it is a damp complaint, not a maintenance job. Clearing gutters once a year on a property with trees near it is the cheapest damp prevention there is.
It also removes the argument about whether the tenant caused the damp.
What we do.
- Clear all accessible gutter runs by hand or vacuum.
- Flush each run and check the fall.
- Clear downpipes and check they discharge properly.
- Check and photograph joints, brackets and any splits.
- Clear the debris away with us.
- Send you before and after photos of each run the same day.
What we will not do.
Anything needing a tower, a cherry picker, or roof access beyond ladder height. Three storeys and up we will tell you it is not our job and give you a name. We would rather lose the job than have someone fall off a ladder at your property.
